how precise is your desire?

" the men and women who practises the foregoing instructions will certainly get rich,
and the riches they receive will be in exact proportion to
the definteness of their

vision, the fixity of their purpose ,
and the depth of their gratitude."

What are you willing to let go?

I was reading a book on ‘simplifying your life’.( tiki kustenmarcher)

there was a chapter on setting your priorities right.

Your priority is to live your life purpose. Somehow there are 100,000 things to do or divert you from doing your passion or life purpose.

To make it simpler ask your self

’what are you willing to let go in order to embark on this project of yours? ‘

Sally , who is a housewife had always an urge

to write a book and go to take creative writing lessons.

However, this had taken a back seat because

it is very hard for her to part from her young 4 year old for she had always had her around her , raised her daughter herself with out a nanny or baby sitter.

Now she needs to make a choice ; to let go ,

and let her daughter to be in care of some one else

for a certain days in the week in order for her to have a piece of mind writing or

take the lessons that she wants.

Sometimes you need to let go for someone you love in order for you to grow.

Vicky is in care of an ageing parent who she currently lives with.

Recently, she found her passion in teaching and

public speaking in seminars which requires her to occasionally travel.

Hard as it seems, she now may have took put the ageing mother

in a safe nursing home

to make way of her new found project.

Remember the blog that I wrote some months earlier

on giving away your old clothes in your wardrobe

in order to make way for a new you? Well, life's a bit life that.

Do we have TIME?

Happy New Year everyone! Instead of looking forward to a new set of resolutions, this year i decided to review my last year's diary. I figured it may be a better way just to take a look at where i am in this space and time of life. Yes, there was a lot of activities during the year, but that's what most of us humans do anyway;- busy . busy. busy. The fact is that what are we busy with?
In my case, i saw that most year all that was documeted was my advancement towards monetary terms. Well nothing wrong with that, but a tinge of uneasy feeling crept up. What really happened to me back then- personally. Did i advanced personally? Did i grew up? Changed my perspectives or believes? i wasn't sure. Did i do any self actualisation? One thing i was sure is that monetery wealth can be re-make but how about the time of our lives? One year has left our life and can we a re- make time? Can we make up for lost time , for lost youth, for lost childhood? We can only go forward, and how much forward can we go? Are we simply going to go thru life doing everyday things then just die? Did we honestly get to do those things that we had always wanted to 'someday'? Or 'a million of one other things' kept creapping up and getting into our way? Still ,one thing for sure is that to have a wealth of time is one of the most valuable resource.

Living passionately?

A conversation with a daughter of a retiree.
Her claim 'my father has no passion for living'
What is passion? Do you have a passion living your life everyday or
are you simply doing what you HAVE and NEED to do everyday.
Things that you tell yourself you HAVE to do or NEED to do is NOT your passion.
There is somehow a tiny subconscious feeling of refusal and rejection when you say
you HAVE to do or you NEED to do it.

Coming back to the story of the retired father,
after retirement he was simply counting years towards his ending.
Every year at his birthday he will say
'I am now 72 years old.Perhaps i wil have another 9 more years to live.'
From this phrase it seems that he is looking foward to in life is his ending.
You see he was a man who had in the past spent his waking life working for a living.
Once he retires he seemed to have lost his purpose.
Now didnt it looked like his work was what he HAD to do and NEEDED to do.
His work was not his passion.
Or simply to say his passion was not his work.Yes, though he may have said he enjoyed
and loved his work, somehow this was an artificial statement.
A cosmetic passion. On the other hand if it was so, he would have carried on living
(the context)doing something that has an inspiration and integrity of his past work
(the content). In this case, his profession as an architect before if was said to be his passion
would be carried on his retirement days sketching, painting, designing,
churning up a new invention perhaps or simply creating.
He would carried on looking forward to his new advancement in life.(obviously on death)
Whilst he did not, he spent his daily life going about wondering in shopping malls,
taking long naps, watching tv, doing laundry, praying...the list goes on.
Yes, there's nothing wrong doing those things.
We all do those daily stuff that we civilised humans do.

But really, have you thought about what you did today?
Are you filling up your life with lots of things to do but it's actually nothing much?

WHO AM I TO BE BRILLIANT?

Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate.
Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure.
It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us.
We ask ourselves."Who am i to be brilliant?"
Actually, who are you not to be?
You are a child of God.
Your playing small doesnt deserve the world.
There's nothing enlightened about shrinking
So that other people wont feel insecure around you.
We are born to make manifest the Glory of God that is within
us.
It is not just in some of us;it's in everyone.
And as we let our light shine,
we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear,
our presence automatically liberates others.

Go Green – get in touch with nature

I was floating on my back in the swim pool one day and
I suddenly realised the beauty of the leaves from the tree branches.
There were tall trees as well as green bushes of plants around the pool
I was swimming in in a beach like set up.
I started then to listen to the inner sounds of water,
sounds of the trees sounds of the branches, sounds of the leaves.
Suddenly it all appeared to be speaking.
Yes, suddenly it was very noisy, all the trees started to speak at once.
I went on to touch the stones.
I smiled at them, they appeared soft.
Yes, the hard stones were actually quite soft.
I suppose I was for a second there at peace with nature.
I was in the being of now.
